2-INGREDIENT ALMOND MILK RECIPE | ARIBA PERVAIZ
hey guys it's a remount and I'm finally
doing recipe videos on YouTube I know
for those of you guys that follow me on
Instagram and on YouTube you guys know
I've been wanting to do these for a
while now and now I finally have the
setup to start doing them so today we're
going to be making some almond milk at
home and the reason I want to share this
recipe with you guys it's because it's
extremely easy all you need is almonds
in water and - I recently went on a trip
to the Dominican and I had almond milk
there and it's not a thing like that I
would look that we have here in Canada
or the states it's like thick and creamy
and it actually have like an aftertaste
that's like nutty and like almond II
it's so luxurious and delicious and I
was like alright my milk is it tastes
like water over here so I thought why
not make it myself so I found this
recipe and it's extremely easy to make
so we're gonna start with some raw
almonds and I buy mine at Costco in bulk
so it's like super inexpensive so we're
gonna start this recipe by taking 1 cup
of almond and then you're going to add
water until the almonds are 100% covered
and you're gonna pop the lid on and
you're gonna let this rest overnight so
now the next morning you're gonna have
something that looks like this
the almond are still in there and the
water is like kind of ducky it doesn't
look very appetizing yet but just wait
so we're just gonna go ahead and drain
this
all right so now our aliens are drained
and rinsed and now we're just gonna pop
it into a blender so now that I have one
cup of almonds going in here I'm going
to add four cups of like room
temperature or cold water and then at
this point if you want to sweeten your
almond milk you can add maple syrup
agave honey sugar whatever you like to
sweeten your milk with you can also go
in with a little bit of vanilla extract
if you want it to be like sweetened
vanilla milk
I want my almond milk nice and clean
because I like to use it for like a
variety of different reasons so I'm not
going to put anything in it this is just
like playing good old-fashioned almond
milk and we're just gonna blast it on
both fleet bowls fleet on full speed and
we're going to have some milk
so now it's all done and you guys can
see there's little specks of the almond
bits in there and the milk so now I'm
gonna grab a regular mixing bowl and
we're gonna cover it all the way around
using some cheesecloth and then we're
going to pour our almond milk in and try
and strain as many of those little
almond bits out don't forget that foamy
bed we're gonna grab it on both sides
and then just kind of give it a gentle
squeeze until the remaining milk is out
so that's where we're at right now
gentle squeeze
Luise me because i want every last bit
of like this liquid gold out of this
cheesecloth okay so this is what we're
left with and at this point you can run
it through the cheesecloth one more time
if you want it to be like super super
like no traces of any of the almonds in
there I kind of don't mind if like a
couple of the bits like kind of slip
through because I I feel like it gives
it a very like rustic homemade taste to
it and I'm into it and now we're just
gonna have it takes a jar anything that
you can store in the refrigerator it
works really well here and we're just
gonna pour it right in oh my god this is
real album
[Music]
even like not sweetens it tastes kind of
sweet right get your cup
Kent yeah
daddy drink it all two days not nice
daddy
